DEICIDE: 'Scars Of The Crucifix' To Surface Before The End Of The Year
July 15, 2003Floridian death metallers DEICIDE have reportedly set "Scars Of The Crucifix" as the title for their seventh studio album, tentatively due in late 2003 through Earache Records. The band are scheduled to enter the studio on July 28 to begin recording the effort, the band's first since splitting with longtime label Roadrunner Records.
Speaking to Terrorizer magazine late last year, DEICIDE frontman Glen Benton said, "We've got more material than we know what to do with! Now we're doing records for us so it's back to the old thinking and the old ways of writing. We're writing to beat all — that's the way we do things. We're goin' back to our roots — who cares about musical logic? Fuck musical logic."
